One of the major components of properly filing a cheap car insurance claim involves filing an accident report with local law enforcement. This is critical because it can validate the claim you are filing. Many times, the other party to the accident may state they wish to deal with the problem on the side and without getting law enforcement and insurance companies involved. This is usually not a wise course of action to follow. This is simply a case of a person who is at fault in an accident trying to avoid facing legal consequences. Clearly, following the lead of this person would be an extremely unwise decision! Instead, it would be best to follow the letter of the law and the guidelines put forth by the cheap car insurance provided that you are paying premiums to. Ultimately, if you sour your claim then you are not going to collect on the insurance payoff. (Well, some cheap car insurance providers are very fair with payments so you still might be able to collect) As such, it would be much wiser to file a report with law enforcement as soon as the accident happens. Don’t be led into making any unwise decisions. Follow established protocol and many problems will be eliminated.
